The real reason the RamCharger is being delayed

I think the take rate on the RamCharger will be higher than the full EVs from GM and Ford for all the usual reasons. Really can not beat the capabilities of what they have put out with a 1/2 ton. Not everyone wants a 3/4 ton, but need more than just a 1/2 ton. This is the sweet spot for what I am looking for (I would have picked up a 3/4 ton already if it fit in my garage, as I dont want it all hail damaged sitting in my driveway). Just wanted the higher payload on a Tungsten for towing our camper and be able to do 90% of my other driving not using any gas.

Exactly. About to get a new trailer.. about 7,500 lbs.. maybe 1,000 lbs of tongue weight. Most owners of the trailer advise to get a.3/4 ton instead of a half ton.. But the RamCharger is right in the middle and will be great for towing it. I so hope we hear something new about the RamCharger soon. Driving me crazy.

At this point for me, unless they show up on dealer lots tomorrow, I will wait till next spring to get one. Hoping I can order mine and have it ready to go by then.

Seems like RAM is focused on keeping manufacturing 100% utilized and *not* on customer demand for the newer models. As someone who plunked down 100$ in January of 2024 there has been no communication and as a marketing team they are not building community around the Ramcharger and REV - you all are doing that despite them. What if demand surges for V8's - they could delay the release of these another year! Pretty frustrating. Serving *new* customers is also good business. Instead of building brand ambassadors they are frustrating us with no direct communication and long delays in production.
So lets do the math - if they are really going to release in "early" 2026 why aren't we seeing configurators on the website available now? I am losing faith that they are going to commit to *any* timeline! Not sure how quickly RAM can ramp up real production - but seems like the customer communication has to start at least 6 months earlier to ensure that payment/choices are fed into the manufacturing. Saw this with Rivian....

Well, they have already built the first "mules" and we keep seeing photos of them out and about, so at least they have some out getting the final bugs out. I expect to see some photos of some up here in CO soon enough driving over passes so make sure they are set up correctly (hopefully towing as well). But I understand what you are saying, if we dont see a configurator out by the EO July I dont see them releasing until at least spring of 2026.
